Clients Nikita and Ulyana approached us with an unusual request: besides a functional interior, it was necessary to skillfully design the living room zone with access to the terrace.

The interior style had to meet the requirements of modern classic with the use of bright color accents.

The project was completed in 2020, implementation in 2021.

The total apartment area is 131 square meters.

Raw ceiling height is 3.1 meters. Finished height – 3 meters.
PLAN
In the hallway, we are greeted by a composition of a console and a pouf, with all storage hidden from prying eyes behind the sliding door of the wardrobe. The spacious living room (42 square meters) features a wide podium leading to the terrace. Behind the sofa, there is a large dining area for 8 people (Baxter dining table), and the kitchen (15 square meters) is hidden in a niche. To expand the kitchen area, it was decided to incorporate the balcony and add extra storage. The master suite is separated and consists of a sleeping area (16 square meters), a spacious walk-in closet (6.3 square meters), and an office in the balcony zone (2.5 square meters). The clients wished not to separate the daughters’ bedrooms but to create one space consisting of a sleeping area and a play/work zone behind a partition. The utility block is allocated as a separate room of 3 square meters.
Kitchen and Living Room
Kitchen
The upper kitchen fronts, a separate form of art, were custom-made. At first glance, they might seem brass, heavy, and cold, but this is not the case. The facade finish is gold leaf, which plays beautifully under different lighting scenarios. The kitchen columns are recessed into a special niche, the material of which seamlessly continues into the corridor, creating a unified interior concept. Additional storage was placed in the adjoining balcony in the form of shelves with lighting behind tinted glass.
In the combined kitchen and living area, there are various lighting scenarios: the main lighting consists of randomly arranged recessed ceiling spots, additional lighting is provided by a track system formed by lines, and accent lighting includes pendants above the dining table (Baxter) and the island (Flos).
The main task was to seamlessly integrate the podium for access to the terrace, making it not only beautiful but also functional. The podium’s beauty is achieved through its finish – large-format porcelain stoneware with illuminated steps, while the functional aspect was solved by creating storage under the platform.
The bright sofa acts as an accent in the interior and draws attention. Opposite the sofa is the TV. An unusual solution is that the TV is concealed within the furniture structure. The vertical wooden panels are also deliberately extended; above you can see the grilles of the ducted ventilation and air conditioning system. The protrusion of the furniture panels allowed for a smart placement of the system, effectively hiding it.
To the right of the TV is the door to the utility block, which we also chose not to highlight but concealed within the texture of the wooden panels extending from the TV.

Living Room
Master Suite
Bedroom
The bedroom features an unconventional layout – we placed the headboard against the window.
Lighting control is located at the bedroom entrance and is also programmed for mobile devices, allowing convenient switching between all lighting scenarios.
The soft, embracing headboard is custom-made. The main volume of the bedroom is bright, with walls painted in matte finish, decorated with moldings. On the TV wall, contrasting natural eucalyptus veneer panels arranged in a random pattern combined with brass inserts add extra visual interest. Round sconces made of natural stone perfectly complement the boudoir area with its round mirror.

Bathroom
Not part of the master suite (not separated from the common area), as it is intended for use by both parents and children. Two basin sinks with two mirrors framed in brass are the highlight of the bathroom. Glass lamps on the right and left provide additional evening lighting. The bathroom includes a comfortably sized 1x1 meter shower and a 1700x750 mm bathtub. All storage is provided in closed compartments; to the right of the sinks, there are shelves with lighting behind tinted glass. A special niche for tubes is provided in the bathtub area.
The bathroom is designed in contrasting colors using natural marble-like textures. The installation is highlighted by a wooden panel that meets moisture protection requirements.

Children’s Room
Fundamentally divided into two zones, a sleeping area (14 square meters) and a play/work area (10 square meters). They are separated by a custom-made sliding partition of an unusual arched shape. The sleeping area features fairy-tale beds with bunny ears, a dream of every little girl. Behind the headboards, there is also a fresco with a pattern, highlighted by moldings. A large spacious wardrobe with interesting fronts and fittings provides ample storage for all the girls’ belongings.
The work area is located along the wall, with storage systems both open and closed from floor to ceiling, allowing all necessary stationery to be stored. The desks are designed with a comfortable width – 1 meter per child.

Guest Bathroom
A spacious 900x1200 mm shower was installed, with built-in shelves made of porcelain stoneware recessed into the niche, a built-in storage cabinet, and a functional vanity unit with a basin sink. Glass pendant lights not only decorate the mirror area but also provide evening lighting.

Hallway
Opposite the entrance door, we placed large-format porcelain stoneware with wall decor. This created a "wow" effect in the entry area. To the right of the entrance is a console with a pouf; this section is highlighted by a protruding drywall structure with lighting. The decoration includes a modern-style painting and voluminous pendant lights. In the corridor, round natural stone sconces are used as night lighting.
