Interior Design: Blue Waters, Dubai
Completed project in Dubai. Interior design of an apartment in a restrained classic style with bright accents. Interior design photos.
Contents:
Dubai, 136 sq. m.
Project completed in 2021
Implemented in 2022.
The apartment is designed for 3 people – a family with a child.
Ceiling height finished at 2.87 m (rough height 2.97 m).
The clients wanted a restrained classic interior with bright accents and designer solutions, and we achieved it!
Kitchen and Living Room
Living Room
- Three distinct zones divided into squares: sofa and TV area (22 square meters).
- Dining area (16 square meters) and kitchen with island (12 square meters), located in a niche.
- Zoning is also emphasized by the multi-level ceiling, highlighted with squares corresponding to the zones. Lighting is integrated into the ceiling recess.
- The common area is done in light tones with elements of modern classic style – moldings on the walls.
- As a contrast, we used natural materials – wall-mounted wooden panels and large-format porcelain stoneware with a marble pattern.
- We also added bright accents in the furniture and textiles – emerald, the clients’ favorite color.
Kitchen
Also built on contrasts, the upper cabinets are highlighted in a light tone, while the base and kitchen columns are immersed in a deep dark color.
The island is designed with storage on the kitchen side and accommodates two seating places on the living room side.
The stone used resonates throughout all zones, complementing each other.
The table surface is coated with acrylic.
Advantages of this coating:

The table surface is coated with acrylic.
Advantages of this coating:
- — natural stone no longer feels cold;
- protection from external impacts (chips, stains);
- the countertop finish becomes matte (soft touch).
Master Bedroom
Bedroom
We arranged: a spacious walk-in closet (17 square meters), a sleeping area (17 square meters), and an en-suite bathroom accessible from the bedroom (7.5 square meters). The walk-in closet is very bright due to a window in the room, and getting ready will be more pleasant thanks to a comfortable soft seating area located beneath this window.
Bathroom and Walk-in Closet
The master bathroom is adorned with a freestanding bathtub, but the main focal point is the handmade mosaic depicting David behind it.
A large mirror and two sinks – a dream for getting ready together; this is exactly the setup we placed in the master suite, as the space allowed.

Children’s Room
The children’s room (18 square meters) for the daughter is bright and delicate, with a touch of dusty pink color.
The work area by the window is framed by existing pilasters, finished with light large-format porcelain stoneware.
The bed with a tall classic headboard and various functional storage units are executed in a unified modern classic style.
A cozy boudoir area is located in the storage zone (in the wardrobe niche).
An interesting feature of the children’s room is a hanging chair by the window, perfect for reading a book in the evening under the wall sconce light.

Entrance Hall
The hall (or entrance area, 10 square meters) deserves special attention. Guests are greeted by an art piece on a pedestal, and the chandelier echoes it with its unusual shape. There is also a play of geometry: the contrasting lines of the porcelain stoneware on the floor correspond to the geometry of the dropped ceiling, and the diagonal lines on the cabinets add interest to what might seem like ordinary furniture items.
Throughout the apartment, brass decor is used: lighting fixtures, furniture elements, fittings, and decoration.
There is a guest-children’s bathroom (7 square meters), but I don’t have photos of it. It houses a utility block with a washer and dryer. It is finished in warm neutral tones.
And a wardrobe near the entrance (3.6 square meters) for storing seasonal items; no photos available either.
The dropped ceilings are not only for aesthetics but also functional: the entire apartment is equipped with supply and exhaust ventilation and air conditioning, hidden under the ceiling. The visible parts in the interior are neat grilles matching the color of the furniture or walls.
